After launch, every client of mine gets a Sanity Studio to manage their site. This is the short version of the walkthrough I give them.

Logging in

Open yoursite.com/studio and sign in with the Google or email account you were invited with. You’ll see your content types on the left: pages, blog posts, settings and anything specific to your site.

Editing text and images

  • Click a document, change any field, and changes save automatically as a draft
  • Drag an image into an image field; set the focus point so it crops nicely on mobile
  • Always fill in the image “alt” text; it helps SEO and accessibility

Publishing

Nothing goes live until you click Publish. On most sites I build, the page updates within seconds of publishing. You can also restore any older version from the history panel if something goes wrong.

Writing a blog post

  • Create a new Blog post and give it a clear, specific title
  • Click “Generate” next to the slug to create the URL
  • Write a short excerpt; it becomes the Google description
  • Use headings (H2) to break the post into sections

That’s really it. If your current CMS feels harder than this, it might be time to move.
