WordPress → Next.js + Sanity migration

Move from WordPress to Next.js without losing a single ranking.

WordPress is great until it isn’t: slow pages, plugin updates that break layouts, security patches, and a dashboard nobody on your team enjoys using.

I rebuild WordPress sites in Next.js with Sanity CMS. Your content, URLs and SEO come with you. What you lose is the plugin maintenance and the slow load times.

Who this is for

  • Business or marketing sites with 10–500 pages or posts
  • Teams tired of plugin updates, page builders and hosting bills
  • Sites losing leads because pages take 4+ seconds on mobile
  • Agencies that want a reliable white-label migration partner

What’s included

  • Full crawl and URL inventory of your current site
  • Sanity content model designed around how your team edits
  • Scripted migration of posts, pages, images, categories and authors
  • Next.js build matching your current design, or a fresh one from Figma
  • 301 redirect map for every changed URL
  • Titles, meta descriptions, OG tags and structured data carried over
  • sitemap.xml, robots.txt and Search Console submission
  • Editor walkthrough video + 14 days of post-launch fixes

Process

How we’ll work together

Fixed scope and price before we start. A short update every working day.

  1. Step 1

    Audit

I crawl your site, list every URL and template, and check which pages bring traffic in Search Console.

  2. Step 2

    Content model

We agree on how content is structured in Sanity: pages, posts, sections, and what editors can change.

  3. Step 3

    Build & migrate

Next.js pages are built and content is migrated with a script. You get a preview link to review everything.

  4. Step 4

    Launch

Redirects go live, DNS is switched, and I monitor 404s and rankings for the first two weeks.

FAQ

Questions about this service

Will my URLs change?

I keep them identical wherever possible. Any URL that must change gets a permanent 301 redirect so Google and old links land on the right page.

Can you migrate WooCommerce, forms or memberships?

Forms, yes. For WooCommerce stores or membership sites we usually discuss a headless commerce option or keep that part separate. I’ll recommend what makes sense for your budget.

How long does a migration take?

A typical business site takes 2–4 weeks. Larger content sites with many templates take longer. You get a fixed timeline before we start.

Do I need to pay for Sanity?

Most business sites fit in Sanity’s free plan. You only pay if you need many editors or very high usage.
